Esporte Clube Bahia and Evolua Energia have formed a partnership that will generate savings on energy bills for club members. The expectation is that around 22,000 club members, with energy bills starting from R$ 160 per month, can participate in the partnership, resulting in a significant reduction in their monthly energy bills. To participate, fans can sign up directly through the Sócio Esquadrão website or through the Bahia app, presenting their current energy bill and personal documents for registration. And by signing up, they will become part of the universe of Brazilian electricity consumers who have adopted the economic and environmental benefits of solar energy through the distributed generation system, without having to invest in panels on their rooftops. The energy provided by Evolua Energia comes from renewable sources, which have a lower production cost. When it is injected into the electrical system, it is transformed into a credit that is deducted from the customer's bill. João Paulo Dionísio Campos, CEO of Evolua Mercado Livre and Marketing and Commercial Director, states that this partnership is more than a commercial action, it is a movement towards a more sustainable future. Vitor Ferraz, Director of Operations and Institutional Relations of Bahia SAF, explains that the partnership goes beyond economics, representing an important step in building a more sustainable and fan-friendly club. The partnership between Evolua Energia and Bahia takes effect from December and will have widespread dissemination among club members. So fans can simulate and identify if they can participate in the partnership, accessing the Parceiros de Aço page, which can be accessed through the Sócio Esquadrão website or the Bahia app. Evolua Energia calculates that the use of solar energy by club members can reduce CO2 emissions by 4.3 thousand tons per year, which is equivalent to planting 26,000 trees, or an area equivalent to 90 Arena Fonte Nova fields.
