Esporte Clube Bahia celebrates three years of a historic partnership with City Football Group (CFG), which officially began on May 4, 2023. During this period, the club underwent a structural and financial transformation that repositioned it in the Brazilian football scene. Professional management and financial sustainability were key pillars of this new era. Raul Aguirre, CEO of Bahia SAF, emphasized the importance of the journey and the commitment to continue writing the club's history with enthusiasm. One of the main milestones of this partnership was the settlement of over 85% of the club's historical debt, allowing Bahia to regain its investment capacity. On the field, Bahia had a remarkable performance, winning the Campeonato Baiano and securing its place in Série A in 2023. In 2024, the club showed visible competitive growth, with a strengthened squad and more stable campaigns in the Campeonato Brasileiro. The return to international competitions in 2025, after more than three decades, reaffirmed Bahia's prominence in national football. Additionally, the club stood out by winning both the Campeonato Baiano and the Copa do Nordeste in the same season, a feat not achieved in 24 years. CFG's management also brought significant changes to Bahia's market profile, enabling impactful signings and investments in infrastructure, such as the new CFA Bahia Training Center, which promises to be one of the most modern in Latin America.
